Week 7

What types of writing activites would you make the best use of technology in your classroom?
I think the best way is to use collaborative writing. The book says they could brainstorm ides, structuring the flow of their writing, generating text to be used in their written product, editing text and negotiating meaning of any of these tasks. They would have so much more access to ask thier fellow students thier ideas. They can also import documnets, share documents, revision history, levels of collaboration or sharing, creating comments and publishing documents. I think the students will like it and get so much more information.
We are creating a powerpoint this week, how would you NOT let PowerPoint presentation distract your audience? Do you think you can follow the potential pitfalls from the textbook?
I think the way to make sure  the powerpoint isnt to distract is not to have to many animations and music. Cause then your presentation will be all about the animations and music. Thats not what you want you want to make sure your point can get across to your viewers. And I think I could fall the potential pitfalls.
So thats what I think of writing activites with technology in the classroom and about powerpoint distractions.

Week 6

Personal Digital Assistants
What are Personal Digital Assistants? How do you use them in classrooms?

PDA's are handheld devices that can connect to the internet, hold phone numbers, addresses, and so much more. You can use it in the classroom so you can access the internet and get some information. I wouldnt use them in the classroom. They would be a distraction I think.
Online Surveys
Why do we use online survey tools? How does it help us in our classrooms? What are 2 good rules for writing good surveys in your opinion?

The reason we use online survery tools is to see how a website is or see how popular something it. It will help as you can post survery over the classroom discussion and see what people think or just about anything you are teaching in the class. 1. would be to have a beginning, middle, and end. 2 Back up what you say.
In the end I think it will be good to online survery tools to use in the class room. It also shows how we can use many new gadgets in the classroom if we so choose to.
